Getting Started

GetJustly is Africa's legal services platform. We connect individuals and organizations with verified legal professionals across the continent. The platform offers AI-powered legal guidance, secure case management, digital evidence preservation, and structured complaint filing — all designed to make justice more accessible.
Anyone in Africa seeking legal assistance can sign up as a Client. Licensed lawyers who want to expand their practice can sign up as a Lawyer. We currently operate in 15+ African countries with verified lawyers across multiple jurisdictions.
Go to getjustly.org/login and click 'Create account'. Select whether you're a Client or Lawyer, fill in your details (email, password, name, country, phone), agree to our Terms, and verify your email. The whole process takes about 2 minutes.
Basic features like legal guidance, lawyer discovery, and complaint filing are free for all users. Premium features such as dedicated case management, evidence preservation with certificates, and priority lawyer matching may have associated fees. Individual lawyer consultation fees are set by each lawyer.
The platform is currently available in English and French, with support for additional African languages coming soon. Our AI assistant can understand queries in multiple languages and provide guidance in the language you're most comfortable with.

Legal Services

Describe your legal issue and our system matches you with verified lawyers based on their specialization (family law, property, criminal defense, etc.), jurisdiction, current availability, and client ratings. You can review full profiles — including qualifications, experience, and fee ranges — before deciding who to engage.
Yes, every lawyer undergoes verification. We confirm their bar registration number, professional standing, and specializations with the relevant national bar association. Unverified lawyers cannot accept cases or appear in search results. This process typically takes 2-5 business days.
GetJustly covers a wide range of legal areas: family law (divorce, custody, inheritance), property and land disputes, employment and labor issues, criminal defense, contract law, human rights, gender-based violence, commercial disputes, immigration, and more. If we don't have a specialist for your specific issue, we'll help you find one.
Fee arrangements are made directly between you and your chosen lawyer. GetJustly displays fee ranges on lawyer profiles so you can compare before engaging. Common structures include consultation fees, flat fees for specific work, hourly rates, or contingency arrangements. We recommend discussing fees upfront during your first consultation.
Yes. You can request to change your assigned lawyer at any time. Your case history and evidence remain on the platform and can be transferred to your new lawyer with your consent.

Cases & Evidence

Our evidence tool captures digital files (photos, documents, audio, video) with cryptographic timestamps and SHA-256 hashes. This creates a verifiable, tamper-proof record with a documented chain of custody — admissible in legal proceedings. You receive a downloadable preservation certificate for each piece of evidence.
Your complaint receives a unique tracking ID instantly. Depending on the category, it may be reviewed by an AI assistant for completeness, routed to a matched lawyer for case assessment, or forwarded to the relevant authority. You can track the status in real-time from your dashboard and receive notifications on every update.
Yes. Your case dashboard shows the current status, upcoming deadlines, all communications with your lawyer, key documents, and a timeline of every action taken. Both you and your lawyer see the same case view, ensuring full transparency.
We accept photos (JPEG, PNG, HEIC), documents (PDF, DOC, DOCX), audio recordings (MP3, WAV, M4A), video (MP4, MOV), and screenshots. Each file is limited to 25MB. For larger files, such as long video recordings, contact support and we'll arrange upload.

Lawyers & Verification

Select 'Lawyer' during signup, provide your bar registration number, select your jurisdiction and specializations, and submit. Our verification team confirms your credentials with the relevant bar association. Once approved, your profile goes live and you can start accepting clients. The process takes 2-5 business days.
You must hold a valid bar registration in at least one African jurisdiction, be in good professional standing (no active disciplinary proceedings), and declare at least one area of legal specialization. We verify these with the issuing bar association directly.
Once verified, you can set your fee ranges, consultation rates, and availability schedule from your lawyer profile settings. You can update these at any time. Clients see this information when browsing and matching with lawyers.
If you hold bar registrations in multiple African countries, you can list all of them on your profile. Each registration is verified independently. Clients can then find you for matters in any of your registered jurisdictions.

Privacy & Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. We use role-based access controls so you only see data relevant to your own cases. We perform regular security audits, maintain encrypted backups, and log all access to sensitive data. See our full Privacy Policy at getjustly.org/privacy.
Absolutely. Communications between you and your engaged lawyer are encrypted end-to-end and protected by lawyer-client privilege. GetJustly staff and AI systems cannot access the content of privileged communications. They receive the same legal protections as traditional offline lawyer-client communications.
Yes. You can request full account deletion by emailing privacy@getjustly.org or through your account settings. Your personal data is deleted within 90 days. Note: evidence linked to active legal proceedings and records required by law may need to be retained for the legally mandated period.
No. We never sell personal data to third parties, advertisers, or data brokers. Your data is used solely to provide the GetJustly service. We only share data with parties you've explicitly engaged (your lawyer) or when required by law.

AI & Technology

The AI assistant can explain legal concepts in plain language, guide you through processes like filing complaints or gathering evidence, analyze documents for key clauses and risks, answer questions about legal procedures in your jurisdiction, and help you prepare for lawyer consultations. It's available 24/7 in English and French.
No. The AI provides general legal information and guidance — not legal advice. It can help you understand your situation and rights, but for decisions that affect your legal position, you should always consult a qualified lawyer. The AI cannot represent you in court or file legal documents on your behalf.
The AI only accesses information you explicitly share with it in your conversation. It does not access lawyer-client privileged communications, evidence files, or case details unless you specifically provide them. All AI interactions are logged for quality assurance but are not shared with third parties.
