Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the GetJustly platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). The Platform is operated by Afrikabal Ltd., registered in the Republic of Rwanda. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform.
These Terms apply to all users of the Platform, including clients seeking legal assistance, lawyers providing legal services, and any other authorized users.
2. Platform Description
GetJustly is a legal services platform that connects individuals and organizations with verified legal professionals across Africa. The Platform provides:
- Lawyer matching — connecting clients with qualified, verified lawyers based on jurisdiction, specialization, and case type.
- Case management — tools for tracking legal cases, deadlines, and communications between clients and lawyers.
- Evidence preservation — secure, timestamped collection and storage of digital evidence with chain-of-custody tracking.
- AI-powered legal assistance — intelligent guidance, document analysis, and legal information to support informed decision-making.
- Complaint filing — structured workflows for filing and tracking legal complaints with appropriate authorities.
GetJustly acts as an infrastructure and connection provider. We facilitate the relationship between clients and lawyers but are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice directly.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate registration information including your real name, email, and jurisdiction.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized access.
Lawyers must provide valid bar registration credentials and undergo verification before being listed on the Platform. Misrepresentation of legal qualifications is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.
4. Lawyer-Client Relationship
GetJustly facilitates connections between clients and lawyers. The following applies:
- The lawyer-client relationship is formed directly between the client and the selected lawyer, not with GetJustly.
- All legal advice, opinions, and representations are the sole responsibility of the engaged lawyer.
- Lawyer-client privilege applies to communications conducted through the Platform between a client and their engaged lawyer.
- GetJustly does not have access to privileged communications and cannot be compelled to disclose them.
5. Evidence & Data Integrity
The Platform provides tools for evidence preservation. Users are responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of all evidence submitted. Key provisions:
- Evidence submitted through the Platform is timestamped and hashed to ensure integrity.
- Tampering with or fabricating evidence is illegal and grounds for immediate account termination and referral to authorities.
- GetJustly does not verify the truthfulness of user-submitted evidence — we preserve its integrity and chain of custody.
6. Fees & Payments
GetJustly may charge fees for certain services including premium case management features, lawyer matching, and evidence preservation. Lawyer fees are agreed upon directly between the client and the lawyer. GetJustly is not a party to fee disputes between clients and lawyers.
7. Intellectual Property
The GetJustly platform, its source code, brand, design elements, and all related materials are the exclusive property of Afrikabal Ltd. Users retain full ownership of their case data, evidence, and communications. By using the Platform, you grant GetJustly a limited license to process your data as necessary to provide the service.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- GetJustly is not liable for the quality or outcome of any legal services provided by lawyers on the Platform.
- GetJustly is not liable for the accuracy or completeness of any legal information provided through the AI assistant.
- GetJustly is not liable for disputes between clients and lawyers regarding fees, service quality, or legal outcomes.
- Our total liability shall not exceed the Platform fees paid by the user in the preceding 12 months.
Important: AI-generated legal guidance is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Always consult a qualified lawyer for legal decisions.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate Platform access with 30 days written notice. Upon termination:
- Active cases must be transitioned or concluded.
- Evidence records are retained for the legally required period.
- Personal data is deleted 90 days after account closure, except where retention is legally required.
- GetJustly may terminate accounts immediately for violations of these Terms, fraud, professional misconduct, or illegal activity.
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Any disputes shall be resolved through:
- Step 1: Good-faith negotiation between the parties (30-day period).
- Step 2: Mediation administered by the Kigali International Arbitration Centre.
- Step 3: Binding arbitration in Kigali, Rwanda, conducted in English or French.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance via email and Platform notification. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
